Practice Nurse

Nurse Barbara Mc Namara qualified as a nurse in 1982 in St Vincent’s University Hospital in Dublin.

She spent the majority of her career as a GP practice nurse and always found it enjoyable & rewarding.

In addition to her nursing qualifications and practical experience, she has certificates in family planning, audiology & wound management.

Her areas of interest include woman’s health (cervical screening), post natal support and medicine for the elderly.

She also has a BA (Hons) psychology and is a qualified psychotherapist both of which compliment her role as practice nurse.
